Students will deepen their theoretical and practical research through the make of two-dimensional art works and paintings, and will strive to discover their own individuality and to master diverse methods of expression.

・To be able to discover, organize, and critically analyze a research topic of art education (including expression).
・To be able to acquire skills and abilities of the contents of art education (painting, sculpture, design, craft, and art science), and to present or express in accordance with features of materials.

Students will study more specialized techniques and theories of painting through the artwork and the process of making it. Students will also experience other types of expression.

Lesson 2: Fresco painting (about fresco painting, survey of works) (1)
Lesson 3: Fresco painting (survey of works, preparation of preliminary sketches) (2)
Lesson 4: Fresco painting (preliminary sketch making) (3)
Lesson 5: Fresco painting (making underpainting, making paints, painting) (4)
Lesson 6: Fresco painting (painting) (5)
Lesson 7: Fresco painting (submission, exhibition, and presentation of completed work) (6)
Lesson 8: Creation utilizing the characteristics of materials, linking materials and images (explanation of issues, investigation of works) (1)

No examinations (but students will be required to submit artworks).
Students are required to submit a report on their artwork after each class.

Each student will choose a two-dimensional artwork technique that he/she wishes to develop, and will collect, analyze, consider, and create artwork based on his/her own production plan.

The first class will explain the entire class, so please think about each assignment and ideas for your work. 
Requirements Specialized subject(painting)
Only students who have already completed "Oil Painting I (Practice)" are eligible to apply.
The number of students may be limited depending on classrooms, etc.
Students who wish to take this course from other courses must ask the permission of the teacher in the course in advance.
If the artwork cannot be completed during class time, the student must complete the artwork outside of class time.
Students must bring their own artwork materials and tools.
The base material for the fresco painting will be charged at the cost of materials (about 500 yen).

Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it A faculty member who has experience in creating and exhibiting artworks will lecture on pictorial expression, drawing on that experience. 
Message I hope that students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that will be useful in teaching painting expression in the future in educational settings. Also, I hope that students will have the opportunity to develop their own unique production methods.
