/Class Outline
Historical development of western art to a primitive to modern is surveyed. Its aesthetic characteristic is made clear as well as it's learned about a way and a point of different culture understanding of fine arts. I acquire necessary basic knowledge to develop the class of the art appreciation.

Review
In additon to reading therelevant parts in reference books beforehand in each lesson, browse collections of art works, etc. in the library to observe not only works in the reference books but also various different kinds of works. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Grades will be based on class participation including in-class assignments (60%) and end-of-term reports (40%).

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it  
Message Above all, the starting point of art research is to see actual artworks. In class, I will introduce information on exhibitions and Western artworks that can be seen in Hiroshima from time to time, so take the opportunity to experience the real thing.
