To find a theme to research based on self-interest. The goal is to acquire the ability to understand the meaning of making artwork by researching previous studies and collecting research materials based on the theme of each student's choice. |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
Artwork and writing should be done outside of class time, as class time will be used for tutoring. Students are required to work on their artwork and writing every week, as the progress of their artwork and writing will be presented in class. Students are expected to make progress in their artwork and writing based on the discussion in class. |

Students should have already taken all classes related to painting for up to 5 semesters. |
