Students will deepen their theoretical and practical research through the make of two-dimensional art works and paintings, and will strive to discover their own individuality and to master diverse methods of expression.

Class Objectives

To understand the characteristics of etching and painting. To understand the characteristics of production tools. To learn the basic content of expression of two-dimensional works as a lifelong activity through hands-on experience with a variety of drawing materials, and to acquire knowledge and skills useful for teaching expression of two-dimensional artworks in the field of education in the future.

Lesson 3: Etching (Understand the types of lines. Sketch while drawing different types of lines.) (2)

No examinations (but students will be required to submit artworks).
Students are required to submit a report on their artwork after each class.

Students will need to bring a copper plate for the 2nd session and brushes, eggs, etc. for the 9th session.

Review
If you are not able to finish your artwork within the class time, you will be required to do so outside of the class time.
Students are required to submit their works in the 8th and 15th period. 
Requirements Specialized subject(painting)
Students who wish to take this course from other courses must ask the permission of the teacher in the course in advance.
No material fees will be collected, but students are required to purchase their own drawing tools and materials.For etching, students do not need to bring their own drawing materials and ink, but they will need to bring their own copper plate and printing paper. 
Grading Method Submit an artwork report after each class.
Submission of completed artwork in the 8th and 15th classes. 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it A faculty member who has experience in creating and exhibiting artworks will lecture on pictorial expression, drawing on that experience. 
Message I hope that students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that will be useful in teaching painting expression in the future in educational settings. Also, I hope that students will have the opportunity to develop their own unique production methods.
