The purpose of this course is to understand the communication principle based on "efficiency" and "solicitude" by consideration of communication Japanese native speakers conduct unconsciously in the light of "conveyance" and "politeness." And also we learn the basic knowledge necessary to conduct research on the relevant issues.

Requirements Hoped for to students who have taken Study of Social Linguistics. In this lesson, we will reconsider diversity of Japanese language and structure of conversations, which are presented at the lesson, at the viewpoint of politeness
