The purpose of this course is to understand psychological mechanism in language learning from a perspective of recognition, development and psychology of learning and to explore theoretical evidence to conduct effective language education. And also we aim to learn basic knowledge to research the issues related to development, memorization and processing process of language.

Lesson 3 Acquisition process of the language (1)-Infant speech development-

Lesson 6 Acquisition mechanism of the language (2)-Theory of the cognitive psychology-

Lesson 15 Summary and general review

(Midterm examination) Conducted in Lesson 8, where the basic nowledge of the contents covered in Lesson 1 to 7 are tested.(Term-end examination) Covering the entire contents of the lessons. The exam consists of the questions asking explanation of items, introduction of experiment studies, explanation of theories and models and the part measuring the ability to infer the psychology process of people who use language.Provided note materials are used as a reference in both exams.

Sign language and Braille are covered in class, to deepen understanding concerning psychology process of speech language and to know visual language and haptic language. In the term-end exam the questions about sign language which is covered in class are asked.
Text/Reference Books, etc.  In class both PowerPoint and blackboard / whiteboard are used. We aim to experience observation of linguistic phenomena, and use videos and other audio-visual equipment. No specific textbooks are used. As the teaching materials, sheets of materials are provided every time, so prepare for a bookbinder to file them (A4 portrait style). Reference books are introduced in class when needed.

Lesson 1 - Lesson 13 every time key words are provided for the next lesson, it is desirable to finde and look for important psychological and linguistic phenomena,  theories and models, etc.individually. 
Requirements Hoped for to students who have taken Psychology of second language learning (fourth semester). When aiming Second language acquisition (Semi.), take this lesson before. Students with more than five absence in all fourteen lessons cannot take final exam. 
Grading Method Result of midterm examination 30%, Result of term-end examination 70%, evaluated comprehensively.
