" The purpose of this course is to read old literature to learn techniques of exploring ancient Japanese language culture. In the process of it, through exercise work of considering pronunciation of words, meaning of words and the roles in the text, we aim to find issues of Japanese language studies and do research on them. Also, to read old literature, we utilize old dictionaries.(Those old dictionaries are always referred when compiling current dictionaries of Japanese language and archaic words. To have knowledge of those dictionaries is included in essential expertise as a teacher of secondary education.) " |
