・To be able to critically analyze and examine the research on the contents of secondary Japanese language education.
・Being able to consider of the relationship between "Language" and culture, and human and society and explore what Japanese language eduation in the secondary education ought to be. 
Class Objectives

" The purpose of this course is to read old literature to learn techniques of exploring ancient Japanese language culture. In the process of it, through exercise work of considering pronunciation of words, meaning of words and the roles in the text, we aim to find issues of Japanese language studies and do research on them.
Also, to read old literature, we utilize old dictionaries.(Those old dictionaries are always referred when compiling current dictionaries of Japanese language and archaic words. To have knowledge of those dictionaries is included in essential expertise as a teacher of secondary education.) "

On this occasion, learn how to do research on classical languages with old dictionaries and old literature in the ages of cloister government and Kamakura."

Requirements Limited to take History of Japanese Language Culture A (History of Japanese Literature). For students entered after 2010 (H22) Limited to register major or sub-major program of Junior Education Science (Japanese Language).
 
Grading Method " The following are evaluated comprehensively. (B. Intellectual ability and skills 06, C. Practical ability and skills 02)
 1. Exercise presentation 2. Asking questions in exercises (Required to ask at least 1 question out of 15 lessons, otherwise you will fail) 3. Assignment 4. Attendance

Message This course is seminars; therefore the focus of this course is the preparation and presentation. The presenter should exercise ingenuity to make his/her thoughts understood. Listeners should necessarily ask questions. The next presenter should preside at the presentation.
