・To be able to plan, design, conduct a research related on secondary education and secondary Japanese language education, and to be able to analyze and examine its results and demonstrate the importance of it.
(Comprehensive Abilities)
・Toward education, contents and practices related to the secondary education and secondary Japanese language education, being able to plan and organize a research, carry it out effectively, identify problems, think, examine and solve the problems by oneself or working on a group (Research skills).
・Being able to conduct basic statistical processing and numerical representation using IT equipment such as computers (IT application).

(More Details) The first part of the course is lectures by a teacher, focusing on character data, audio data, historic materials, and theses.
The middle part of the course is discussion-oriented. We read actual graduation theses, have discussions and consider them.
The last part of the course is presentation and discussion-based. We prepare presentation materials, and then make presentations and have discussions based on the research outcomes of the participants.

Lesson 2 - Lesson 3
 Make a summary of the area you have interests in from two general information manuals, comparing them with each other.
Lesson 4 andLesson 5 andLesson 11
 Analyze provided materials on your own, and at the same time think of a subject you want to examine and do research on relevant materials.
Lesson 6 - Lesson 7
 Listen to exercise presentations regarding graduation theses made by senior or graduate students and understand the methods of research, disserting and accomplishment reports.
Lesson 8 - Lesson 10
 Make a midterm peport on research based on a temporary theme and set the main theme.
Lesson 11 - Lesson 14
 Make a presentation on the individual setup theme by a person in charge, and the other students broaden their intersts and compare the differences to their own research method.
Lesson 15 Summarize future assignments for completion of a graduation thesis.
