High school “Public” started from 2022. As in the former “Modern Social Studies,” it covers law, politics, economics, international society, as well as ethical theory, starting with original thoughts. It is said that emphasis is placed on subjective problem-inquiry learning. Therefore, in this class, we will pick up the contents related to ethics (and “public philosophy”) from among the contents dealt with in “Public,” and deepen the understanding of each content. This class aims to acquire specialized research skills in ethics, and to develop the ability to research and develop teaching materials in ethics education.
