In this course, students will create teaching materials using various wood working tools to cultivate practical abilities to create new teaching materials, with an aim to deepen understanding of creation and utilization of teaching materials in "monozukuri" using wood in secondary education.
 
Class Schedule Lesson1: Orientation. Explanation of finger joint.
Lesson2: Practice of finger joint.
Lesson3: Explanation of tenon and mortise processing.
Lesson4: Design and concept of production subject.
Lesson5: Prototype production. Review of design.
Lesson6: Create drawings.
Lesson7: Cutting layout. Sawing.
Lesson8: Alignment of planes.
Lesson9: Parts processing: planing (planes).
Lesson10: Parts processing: planing (belt thunder).
Lesson11: Parts processing: planing (finger joint).
Lesson12: Assembly: temporary assembling and remediation.
Lesson13: Assembly: joint.
Lesson14: Finishing.
Lesson15: Presentation and summary.

It is desirable that students prepare and review the lesson in reference to the Class Schedule.
Lesson 1: Check the syllabus.
Lessons 2 and 3: Confirm how to safely use tools used for joining and tenoning.
Lessons 4 to 6: Check how to create drawings.
Lesson 7: Check the types and structures of tools used for scribing and cutting, and how to use them safely.
Lessons 8 to 11: Check the types and structures of tools used for parts processing and how to use them safely.
Lessons 12 and 13: Check the types and structures of tools used for assembly and how to use them safely.
Lesson 14: Check the types and structures of tools used for finishing and how to use them safely.
Lesson 15: Looking back at the good points and areas for improvement in the product and its process. 
Requirements Students who have already taken "Introduction to Woodworking" and "Practice in Teaching Materials for Woodworking I". 
Grading Method Students will be comprehensively assessed by behavior in class (15%), completeness of produced products (20%), and reports (65%).
