Depending on the situation, the class may be held in a non-personal manner using Bb9, etc. Materials related to the topic of each session and the assignment book (tentative title) will be uploaded via Bb9. The assignment book (tentative name) will contain assignments related to each session, and students are requested to compose their own answers to the assignments and submit them via Bb9.

"The objective of this course is to learn mathematics education in and after Meiji period in Japan, focusing on history, key persons, textbooks and reform movements, and to examine basic capabilities needed for examining various issues today and how the future education should be in consideration of the history of mathematics education.

The history of mathematics education in Japan since the Meiji era is divided into several periods based on the laws, course syllabus, and promulgation & announcement of the Curriculum Guideline to "

This lesson will explain the overview of mathematics education in the period called ‘ Construction Period’ from 1872 to 1885. Students are expected to understand the establishment of systems concerning mathematics education in Japan.
