Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this course, students will design an experiment, create experiment devises and make measurements, process data, and evaluate and study the experimental materials as teaching materials, through which they can cultivate comprehensive abilities to develop experimental materials concerning physics-related contents in junior high schools and high schools. The students make a pair and use experimental materials of the following three areas:1) dynamics, 2)wave & heat and energy, and 3) electricity & magnetism, 5 times each, and develop, study and report on their experiments as teaching materials.
Class Schedule Lessson1: Orientation and Precautions for Safe Experiments.
Decide experimental materials to make, research materials, try and consider assignments.
Lesson2: Improve identified issues with the materials
Lesson3: Conduct an experiment, paying attention to the accuracy and educational meaning and collect and process data
Lesson4: Prepare for a presentation of the results and compensate for the lack of data.
Lesson5: Demonstrate and present the contents of the experiments, data, educational effects, and others.
Lesson6: Decide experimental materials to make, research materials, try and consider assignments.
Lesson7: Improve identified issues with the materials
Lesson8: Conduct an experiment, paying attention to the accuracy and educational meaning and collect and process data
Lesson9:Prepare for a presentation of the results and compensate for the lack of data.
Lesson10: Demonstrate and present the contents of the experiments, data, educational effects, and others.
Lesson11: Decide experimental materials to make, research materials, try and consider assignments.
Lesson12: Prepare for a presentation of the results and compensate for the lack of data.
Lesson13: Conduct an experiment, paying attention to the accuracy and educational meaning and collect and process data
Lesson14: Prepare for a presentation of the results and compensate for the lack of data.
Lesson15: Demonstrate and present the contents of the experiments, data, educational effects, and others.

There will be three kinds of report assignments about developmental teaching materials.

Suggestions on
Preparation and
Review
When selecting experimental teaching materials it is necessary to consider the educational meaning rather than selecting whether the experiment is interesting or not. Since this course will include group work, your absent and/or tardy will disturb other students.
Requirements It is recommendable that students have taken ' Basic Knowledge of Physics' and ' Science Literacy of Physics I & II '.
The number of students who can take this course may be limited due to the reasons of the laboratory and laboratory equipment.
Grading Method Students will be evaluated based on class attendance/performance, presentations, and reports.
