This is a specialized course. The purpose of this course is for students to acquire and understand knowledge of secondary science education content and critically analyze and study the content. The expected learning outcome is ‘ Knowledge & Understanding’ and ‘ Intellectual capabilities & skills’.

・By deepening basic understanding of science subjects taught in secondary education (physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science), to be able to explain teaching contents.

・Based on meticulous analysis and examination of science education in secondary education (including observation and examinations), to be able to design classes and develop teaching materials.

The purpose of this course is for students to understand specialized knowledge based on the viewpoint of teaching contents and acquire the fundamentals of practical skills. The course will provide the students with opportunities to analyze and study individual cases of teaching contents of biology covered by secondary science education, and with more specialized explanations of the subject.
