Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The objective of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to observe lessons at special needs school (visual impairments, hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities) to see the realities of education provided at special needs school and develop the foundation of specialized education that the students will learn in the future and raise awareness for teaching practice in their 3rd year. This course will be intensive lectures.  
Class Schedule Intensive lecture course (in late September).  The detail plan of each class will be specified. Only the contents of this course is shown here.
1.Advance guidance: (Equivalent to the pre-guidance of first-year internship)
   Overview of special needs schools
   Guidance on a visit to a special needs school
2.Visiting a special needs school(Equivalent to the social participation experience of first-year internship)
   Observation at a special needs school(visual impairments, hearing impairments. Intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities)
      This is going to be 2-day visit.
3.Guidance after the visit:(Equivalent to the post-guidance of first-year internship)
   Summary of the school visit(Presentation and Q&A, Summary)


Reports on lesson observation at each school.

This course will be your first practical course for the teaching practice  at Special Needs Schools that you are going to have in the 2nd semester of the 3rd year. All of the students in the Program in Special Needs School Teacher Education must take this course.

Preparation and
Review
As this is an intensive lecture course, you will learn a lot of things in a short period of time. Particularly for school visits, you should not just go there and observe but you should have your own purpose of the school visit based on the fundamentals that you have learned in the university so far and what you researched by yourselves/
You should actively participate in a Q&A in the school visit and try to resolve as many questions as possible. 
Requirements You should be careful of your appearance (clothes, hair color, etc.) and your language as a student of the Faculty of Education. The detail instructions will be explained in the advance guidance. If you do not follow the instructions, you will be denied the visit even on the day of the visit.
The school visit will be during your summer break (late September). You must reserve the day on your calendar. The detail of the schedule will be provided by the end of the 1st semester (July). 
Grading Method Students will be evaluated comprehensively based on reports on school visits, contributions in school visits, and attendance. 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Special support school teachers give lectures on the outline of the school and the knowledge and understanding of actual teaching methods. 
Message This will be the first valuable experience before the teaching practice in the 3rd year. In order to make this course fruitful, you should prepare for the school visits by doing a search in advance and having background information.
