Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course will provide students with opportunities to learn sign language and finger spelling skills(expressing and reading). This course will provide students with a brief overview of the sign language and social life or education for deaf/hard of hearing. The objective of this course is for students to understand sign language and deaf/hard of hearing. |

Continuous study is necessary for acquiring sign language skills. Because studying only in classroom hours is not enough, you should try to practice and learn outside of classroom continuously to fully acquire what you learn in class. |
Requirements |
This is a required course that corresponds to Section2 (Curriculum and Teaching methods)of the Teacher Certification for Special Needs School ( Education for children with hearing impairments) of the Teachers License Act. Because the aim of this course is for students to learn and fully acquire sign language skills, this course is only open to the students of the Program in Special Needs School Teacher Education. You should move your hands and fingers, do actions when you requested, as this class include many practical elements in every class. |

Students will be evaluated based on final exam(80%), and participation to the class(20%). |
