This course is an introductory course to a series of subjects for teaching practice at elementary school provided by the Faculty of Education, Hiroshima University. The purpose of this course is for students to shift their standpoint from a learner to a teacher and to be motivated to have a career in teaching through lectures at university and lesson observations at the affiliated elementary school. 
Class Schedule Lesson1: Orientation. Instruction of portfolio making 1.Pre-school guidance.
Lesson2: Advance guidance on on-site learning at elementary school.What is required in class,View of the teaching plan.
Lesson3:A day and school life of elementary school students.
Lesson4: Pre-school guidance.
Lesson5:  Viewpoint of lessons and actual lessons1
Lesson6: Viewpoint of lessons and actual lessons2.Advance guidance on on-site learning at elementary school
Lesson7&8: On-site learning at elementary school(Equivalent to the first-year internship)

Read the observations carefully. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Students will be evaluated comprehensively based on attendance at the orientation, lectures at the university, lesson observation in the affiliated elementary school, ‘Introduction to teaching practice at elementary schools. Observation Record’ ( including lesson observations at the affiliated elementary school), and contribution.
Grades to be awarded to students are: S, A, B, C, and D( S being the highest). 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Affiliated school teachers give lectures on the outline of the school and the knowledge and understanding of actual teaching methods.
