The objective of this course are to provide students with opportunities to acquire practical skills for developing teaching materials that are attractive to children and improve Social Studies lessons through analyses of records of excellent elementary social studies lessons and researches on teaching materials including those concerning a local region and history.

Handouts of lesson records and videos of recoded lessons will be utilized in class. As shown in the lesson plan, students will find important points from the recorded lessons from the perspectives of research on teaching contents, teaching content structure, unit structure, lesson structure, instructions, and learning development, in every lesson. Students are required to read lesson records from each of the abovementioned perspectives in advance and think about what you learn from the records in order to make every lecture meaningful for you. 
Requirements "Elective course in teaching: Social studies
It is desirable that students have already taken the Teaching Method of Social Studies for the Elementary School." 
Grading Method Attending specified number of lessons or more is a prerequisite. Students will be evaluated comprehensively based on attendance, final exam, and reports.
