Class Objectives
/Class Outline
To acquire knowledge and skills regarding music needed to be an elementary school teacher.
To learn basic techniques of piano performance and to become able to accompany songs from the common music materials for elementary schools on the piano and sing those songs to one’s own accompaniment.

Lesson2: Orientation by class. An assignment will be offered.

Preparation and
Review
For piano practice lesson, practice every day. It is desirable that students sing songs of the common music materials for elementary schools everyday.
Lesson1: Review the purpose of this course
Lesson2-7 & 9-14: Review what was pointed out in the lesson. Practice assignments repeatedly.
Lesson8,15,&16: Performance presentations. Preparation for a practical exam. Advice for challenges for the future.  

 
Requirements Since there are a number to students who hope to take this course, this course is open only to those who wish to be an elementary school teacher.
Make sure to take this course if you wish to become an elementary school teacher but have no experience of playing the piano.
The students will be divided into classes based on "Class wake no tame no chosa-hyo". Student affairs office will register for this course after the announcement of the classes is made. 
Grading Method A comprehensive evaluation will be made on the basis of a practical skill test (70%), efforts toward daily tasks and achievement of the tasks (30%). 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Teacher experienced as a pianist teaches performing the piano. 
Message Since there are a number to students who hope to take this course, this course is open only to those who wish to be an elementary school teacher.
Make sure to take this course if you wish to become an elementary school teacher but have no experience of playing the piano.
Your own ingenuity and constant efforts are required in this course. Exercise your ingenuity and do effective practice continuously. 
Other This class may require you to perform during class. If you are taking the class online, please make sure that you have a place to perform (details will be given when the results of the placement are announced or at the first class).
