/Class Outline
This course is designed to acquaint students with literary concepts, devices, and terms for studying English and American literature. To explore how, why, and when writers use literary devices, students read and analyze texts to uncover what the authors are trying to convey to their readers. Students will also acquire skills to read literary texts closely and critically.
