Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this Class, students will join our archaeological field trip, learn about the method of measuring remains (mounded tomb, etc), making a contour map by using survey apparatus, and comprehending its scale and shape, under direction of trained teachers. 
Class Schedule lesson1; Confirmation of surveying procedures and equipment operation techniques developed through field training, etc., and discussion of actual sites to be surveyed.
lesson2; On-site confirmation of the archaeological sites to be surveyed.
lesson3; Discuss the scale and shape of the sites to be surveyed, and formulate an actual survey plan. Also, students will prepare materials (pamphlets) summarizing the results of surveys and research on the archaeological sites to be surveyed.
lesson4; Planning about prior discussion with a landowener, and an educational committee which preserves the site.
lesson5; Making a plan for prior consultation with related organizations for the actual surveying.
lesson6; Prior consultation with related organizations.
lesson7; Surveying work is conducted. (Same as above until the 12th round).
lesson8; The same as above (Confirmation of the scope of survey).

Requirements We have a meeting for tommorow’s measurement survey after field work on a site or lodging house every day. 
Grading Method Practical fieldwork in the site (80%), and report point (20%).
