The overall theme of this lecture is to focus on India, which is emerging as a new major power, and to elucidate the country's socio-economic changes and spatial structures. By taking this course, participants will deepen their geographical understanding of India and gain essential perspectives for discussing contemporary India. These perspectives also extend to understanding other emerging economies. Developing a suitable regional understanding for the era of globalization is a major goal.
