Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This class aims to learn ethnic diversity in Japan, focusing on migrants and their descendants. Japan is not homogeneous and was not. Lectures and discussions also cover when and how Japan accepted migrants and the challenges facing migrants.

Readings are assigned every week. Students have to submit a short essay about the readings. Well-preparation for the class is the key to succeeding in this course.
