Class Objectives /Class Outline |
You will learn what you should do to prepare for taking English qualification tests to be accepted by universities overseas. In particular, you will learn what IELTS is like and work on a lot of examples and exercises, using a textbook. If your TOEIC score is higher than 800, you do not have to take this course. This is a course for intermediate students of English. |

Participating in class is absolutely necessary. You also need to take the TOEIC(R)IP test provided by the university in November. The progress you have made in the TOEIC score will be reflected in your grade. It is also recommended that you take the IELTS test at university in October or in December. |

You are expected to attend the class with completing all sections assigned. There is no time for you to work on the exercises in the text in class. The class will proceed on the assumption that you have completed your assignments. |
Requirements |
This course is conducted in English. The maximum number of students for this course is 20. If too many students apply for the course, then the registered students whose English proficiency is lower than intermediate will be given a priority. |
Grading Method |
Your class participation and performance are evaluated every week. Participating in class is absolutely necessary. You need to take the TOEIC(R)IP test provided by the university and submit the score. Also, you are recommended to take the IELTS test at the university (you have to pay the test fee by yourself). Please make sure you check the exam dates by yourself. |
