Class Objectives

This course aims at learning various consequences of violent conflicts and what have been done by the international community to address such conflicts and their consequences. The international community has carried out a wide ragne of activities including norm creation, humanitarian assistance, peacekeepinga and peacebuilding. Each class deals with a different theme and there will be a combination of lecture and discussion.

Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The lecturer has experiences in a UN peacekeeping operation as well as peacebuilding in an international organisation. On topics related to peacekeeping and peacebuilding, my comments will include the perspectives of a practitioner. 
Message Since many things need to be learned in a limited number of lessons, you are required to study both before and after the lessons. This will make your acquired knowledge solid.
