Students are encouraged to consider the selected sociology topics: modernization, social structure, social change, bureaucracy, and class reproduction. It is important for students to organize their arguments by reading the specific chapters of required books well in advance of each class. 
Requirements The course has no specific prerequisites.  
Grading Method Final term paper and regular class participation are essential for this class.

Message This course is taught by writing on a chalkboard instead of using PowerPoint in order to help students get more engaged in their learning.
