Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Through this leaning about the consequences of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings and the Fukushima and Chernobyl nuclear power plant accidents from the perspective of Peace Studies, the students are expected to think about the meaning of "peace". The classes will be conducted in seminar-style. We will have a discussion/group discussion on each topic. Through this course, I expect the students to acquire the ability to understand and explaining various factors and their complicated aspects hindering peace, including the conflict between ideas and reality.

Requirements This course is conducted optimally with a fewer number of students. Only students willing to engage actively in discussion activities are advised to take this course. 
Grading Method Assessment is based on: discussion and class participation (60 %), final presentation (40 %)
