Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Being sick and trying to heal it is an integral part of human life as a living organism. In this class, students will learn about the basic ideas of medical anthropology, which attempts to view issues surrounding disease and medicine within the context of human history, cultural diversity, and the complex dynamism of society. By understanding these ideas, we aim to gain a new perspective on our health and illness in a way that is not limited to biomedicine.
