[Summary] In this course, we will experience and learn more about postcolonial culture through literature and movies. [Goals] The goals of this course are for students: -To develop media literacy competencies (ability to evaluate and analyze information); - To develop their ability to describe in their own words, no matter how inadequate they may seem, what literature, movies, and expressions are; and - To develop their understanding of others and imagination skills to think about others (what and who the others are), through the encounter of postcolonial culture as other culture. |
