Statistical procedures are essential in sports and health research. Students are expected to obtain basic skills for statistical analyses as a preparation for laboratory courses at the 3rd year and dissertation.

In this class, student will be expected to obtain the following skills.
-        To understand the statistical theory behind basic statistical tests used in sports and health sciences.
-        To make an appropriate experimental design according to your own research interests.
-        To choose and execute appropriate statistical procedures to analyze measured or given data
-    To appropriately interpret the statistical results
-    To write texts for research paper which describe statistical methods and results 
Class Schedule Lesson 1. Introduction & installation of softwares, descriptive statistics
Lesson 2. Principles of statistical tests, 1 sample t test
Lesson 3. Independent samples t test, paired sample t test
Lesson 4. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)
Lesson 5. Two-way ANOVA
Lesson 6. Post-hoc tests
Lesson 7. Parametric and non-parametric correlation analyses
Lesson 8. Common mistakes in statistical procedure
Lesson 9. Epidemiology and clinical research design 1
