Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The objective of this course is to learn methods for describing, recording, and analyzing language speech, with the goal of being able to design one's own speech experiments. We will practice phonetic analysis while exploring phonemic phenomena and related issues. Additionally, the aim is to become proficient in accurately reading English-language textbooks.

Preparation and
Review
Before each class, make sure to thoroughly read the assigned sections of the textbook. During class, summarize newly acquired knowledge in comment sheets and submit them by the deadline. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Class participation, questions, and discussions: 30% (5% per week, for 6 weeks)
Final assignment: 60%
Comment sheets: 10%

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it  
Message While a deep understanding of phonetics and phonology is not required, proficiency in reading English texts is essential. Additionally, there may be opportunities for participation in speech experiments or surveys during class. Your active involvement in such activities is encouraged. 
Other Three or more unjustified absences will result in disqualification. Lateness of more than 30 minutes will be considered as an absence.
