This seminar also sets out to offer the students a place for “engaged learning” regarding the history and lives of the minorities. Minority Studies Seminar is designed to allow students to move from learning about the minorities through lectures and discussions at earlier “Minority Studies” course to engagement with the minorities in the field. The students are going to plan and implement their fieldwork projects and share the project outcomes in report and oral presentation.
Class Schedule This seminar is classified into the two clusters with related modules: First, the students engage in intensive group/class discussions regarding race and ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ableism, and ageism and create personal project proposals; second, the students implement their projects and share research findings and arguments through oral presentation and in written reports.
