- Expand your interest in various social issues, and hone your ability to see and understand these issues.
- Actively participate in courses related to the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences that may be relevant to your research theme, regardless of whether they are specialized or liberal arts courses.
- Read news articles, books, and papers that interest you in applied ethics.
- Critical reading of other people's writings is also essential training for improving your writing, expression, and reading comprehension skills. To achieve goal (1) of the course, you should take sufficient time to prepare your presentation steadily, read carefully the drafts of others' presentations distributed in advance of each class, and, if necessary, research related literature and think of questions to ask.
Requirements - Attendance 10 or more times is required to earn credit.
- Unexcused absences are strictly forbidden.
- Students who arrive 20 minutes after the start of class will be considered absent (but may still attend).
Grading Method The overall grade will be based on each presentation and discussion. Do not worry if you cannot present and discuss your research well in the beginning.
