授業の目標・概要等	This course takes an omnibus form and has a theme of peace and co-existence based on the specialisation of individual faculty members. The disciplines covered include International Relations, International Law, Memory Studies, and Cultural Anthropology. We will explore themes of democratization, contested memories, reconciliation, and international relations in the context of Japan. Specific topics include the legacy of Hiroshima, the Fukuda Doctrine, nuclear arms control, and the role of language and translation in shaping perceptions of peace. Through lectures and active class discussions, students will gain a nuanced understanding of Japan's post-war trajectory and its ongoing engagement with issues of peace and coexistence. By the end of this course, students will be able to critically analyze the complexities of peace, memory, and international relations within the Japanese context and beyond.
