授業の目標・概要等	The course covers a wide range of issues on primary, secondary, technical/ vocational, and higher education in developing countries. Students will understand basic issues of educational development and acquire analytical methods for the issues. Based on theories, policies and practices of educational development, students will have hands-on experiences of different types of international cooperation in education and means of intervention being taken by the government and aid agencies, and will become able to clearly express opinions on them.

教科書・参考書等	Handouts and related materials will be provided during the lesson, including a list of references and further reading materials. Occasional assignments will be given.

	【詳細情報】	Lecturer and students will occasionally use computers (spreadsheets) and a presentation software (Powerpoint or equivalent).

履修上の注意 受講条件等	English is used as language of instruction. An active participation of students will be required during the class - especially during discussions by raising constructive questions and by providing examples of your country cases.
成績評価の基準等	Achievements will be evaluated based on an overall participation and attitudes in the class, assignments submitted, and an end-of-the-term report.
