（学部生対象科目のみ） This is one of the basic subjects of the International Peace and Co-existence Programme. Students of the Programme are recommended to register for this subject together with "Peace and Co-existence A".

授業の目標・概要等 This course takes an omnibus form and has a theme of peace and co-existence based on the specialisation of individual faculty members. The disciplines covered include International Relations, International Law, Anthropology, and Sociology. Based on the Japanese experiences of post-war recovery and diplomacy, modern and contemporary Japanese history and society will be analysed from the viewpoint of peace and co-existence. While the classes are lecture-based, active participation from the students is expected during class discussions.
By the end of this course, students will have a broad understanding of the development of various events/issues related to peace and co-existence in Japan.
