This category of courses aims to provide opportunities for students to understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set by an international agreement. It also aims to equip students with the ability to advance science to enable sustainable development and the ability to solve various challenges in society.

Lesson 3: Katayanagi Mari 'Reconstruction of Hiroshima from Peacebuilding Perspective'
Lesson 4: Kashima Saori 'History of Environmental Policies in Japan' 1
Lesson 5: Kashima Saori 'History of Environmental Policies in Japan' 2
Lesson 6: Ichihashi Masaru 'Industrial Policy and Economic Growth'
Lesson 7: Azuma Taro (Deputy Director of JICA Chugoku), 'Outline of Japan's Development Cooperation'
Lesson 8: Yoshida Osamu 'Japanese ODA and its Asia Policy'

Term Exam is scheduled after the final lesson.

それに基づく授業内容 Prof. Katayanagi has practical experience in peacebuilding in the Balkans, which will be reflected in her lecture in Lesson 5.
Mr. Azuma, Deputy Director General of JICA Chugoku, has various experiences of international cooperation activities in Japan as well as in countries of the Middle East. These experiences will be reflected in his lecture at Lesson 7.
