As part of "Project for the Formation of Multicultural Campuses Toward Social Impact", which was adopted by Hiroshima University in 2024, we are pleased to hold a workshop for the International and Regional Challenges Co-learning Program.
Based on field research conducted in Makassar, Indonesia, students participating in the program will present their proposed solutions to local challenges and engage in discussions with representatives from companies, international organizations, and academic experts regarding their feasibility and future collaborative opportunities.
The workshop will explore a variety of proposals, including mangrove carbon credits, enhancing green brand value, securing conservation funding through ecotourism, passing on conservation knowledge through experiential learning, and the sustainable use of mangrove resources. Through presentations, stakeholder dialogue, and discussions on local challenges and potential solutions, participants will examine pathways toward real-world implementation.
The workshop is open to anyone interested in these topics, regardless of field of study. We warmly welcome your participation.
