令和7年10月10日（金）に西図書館3階にオープンしたグローバルラーニングセンターでは、Self-Access Learning Center（SALC）を通じて、多くの学生が英語学習に取り組んでいます。
SALCのセッションは、広島大学外国語教育研究センターで長年ご活躍されている達川奎三先生のプロデュースにより、スピーキングを中心に、初級～中級、中級～上級のレベルに分かれて実施しています。海外留学経験のある学生や留学生が運営するセッションに参加し、英語を聞き、英語を話す環境で実践的に学ぶことができます。
新しい環境にも少しずつ慣れてきたこの時期、大学生活をさらに充実させるために、英語に触れる機会を日常に取り入れてみませんか。
留学を考えている方、将来国際的に活躍したい方、英語に苦手意識がある方も大歓迎です。在学生の皆さんも、これまでの学びをさらに深める機会として、ぜひご参加ください。

さらに、夏の留学プログラムに向けた特別テーマセッションも実施予定です。

The Global Learning Center (GLC), which opened on the 3rd floor of the Central Library on Friday, October 10, 2025, offers many opportunities for students to improve their English through the Self-Access Learning Center (SALC).
SALC sessions were designed by Professor Keizo Tatsukawa of the Institute for Foreign Language Research and Education at Hiroshima University, who has extensive experience in English language education. The sessions focus primarily on speaking skills and are offered at different proficiency levels, from Beginner to Intermediate and Intermediate to Advanced.
By joining sessions facilitated by international students and students with overseas study experience, participants can improve their practical English skills in an environment where they actively listen to and communicate in English.
Now that you have settled into your new university life, why not make English a part of your daily routine and enrich your university experience?
Whether you are planning to study abroad, hoping to build an international career, or simply looking to improve your English confidence, you are warmly welcome to join. Current students are also encouraged to participate as an opportunity to further develop the skills they have already acquired.
Taking the first step can open the door to new opportunities. We encourage you to join a session and experience learning English in a supportive environment!
In addition, special themed SALC sessions will be held in preparation for this summer's study abroad programs.
The schedule and themes are listed below. Students planning to study abroad are encouraged to participate to learn more about the culture and characteristics of their destination. Students who are not planning to study abroad are also welcome, as these sessions provide a great opportunity to broaden your understanding of different countries and cultures.

13:00–14:00 (Intermediate)
15:00–16:00 (Intermediate–Advanced)
Please note that some sessions will not be held due to scheduling conflicts with other events. Please check the reservation system for the latest session schedule.
