/Class Outline
This course depicts the characteristics of a sustainable society. Based on this, it employs the back-casting method to consider concrete steps and techniques for achieving a sustainable society. It identifies the discrepancy between the current state and the steps outlined as a challenge, and explores methodologies for reaching a sustainable society, including degrowth and global decision-making systems.

Since a wide range of knowledge and plenty of knowledge are required to establish sustainable society, preparation and review are required. 
Requirements The credit of Principles of Environment A is expected to be obtained. Active discussion in class is expected.  
Grading Method Final examination 60% and Reports 40%.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it On the basis of a variety of experience in Japanese government as well as foreign countries, the principles of environment is explained in class.
