Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Students are going to obtain the knowledge on the large strain problem, which is important to study an advanced field of solid mechanics. The related topics such as material and geometric non-linearity will be explained.
The three invited professors are invited as follows.
One is Prof. Antonio Pellegrino, from University of Bath in UK. He will visit us from 14th to 26th of April.
The second is Prof. Mogadalai Pandurangan Gururajan, from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. He is going to stay HU from 15th to 24th of June.
The last is Prof. Vicent B. C. Tan, from National University of Singapore, Singapore.
He will visit us in the middle of November.

************************** Note *****************************
After determining the registered students, Prof. Iwamoto make an arrangement of the date for each visit. Prof. Iwamoto requires you your cooperative attitude for such arrangement.
Please be careful about the students who will complete our program in September, 2026. Unfortunately, the students are not suitable to make a registration on this course because the grading will be done in the end of November, 2026.
This course is very good opportunity to learn fundamental knowledge through the active speeches by the invited professors who are fluent speaker of English.
