Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course covers understanding human functions and modelling techniques, augmenting human systems, and their applications in academia and industry. Although the development of machinery, tools and information technology has led to the production and sale of numerous smart devices, designing user-friendly devices that support social life requires an understanding of human physical and cognitive characteristics, and the design of device behavior based on this knowledge. This lecture provides an overview of these characteristics and explains how they influence human interaction. It also discusses systems for extending human functions and capabilities. |
