Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In addition to learning the fundamentals and evaluation methods of surface science of materials, students will learn synthesis methods of adsorbents and membranes, and separation processes using these materials. Furthermore, students will learn about cutting-edge research in separation processes aimed at the effective utilization of thermal energy, which has gained significant importance in recent years.

Since the handouts include excerpts from the slides used in the lecture, it is advisable to review the oral explanations given in the lecture by taking notes on the slide excerpts. 
Requirements  
Grading Method The students will be graded on the basis of their responses to the exercises in the lecture (70%) and the final report (30%). Totally 60% or higher score will be needed to get the credit.
