Preparation and
Review
Sessions 1–15: In the doctoral program, independent and well-planned research abilities are required. This course places particular emphasis on sustained daily research activity. In order to achieve the overarching goal of submitting the doctoral dissertation, students are expected to break this objective down into concrete short-term goals—such as carefully reading research literature or writing sections of the dissertation—and to manage their progress autonomously
Requirements
Grading Method The evaluation will be based comprehensively on the progress of the doctoral research and the quality of the research content. Specifically, the criteria include the soundness of the research plan, understanding and critical examination of prior research, clarity of methodology, logical coherence and consistency of argumentation, as well as the originality of the dissertation as a doctoral thesis. In addition to the overall quality and originality of the dissertation, the content of the final oral examination and the candidate’s ability to respond to questions will also be taken into consideration.
