Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Intensive lecture on “Elemental technologies and applied research in metabolomics” by Professor Takeshi Bamba of Osaka University (Organizing faculty: Tsunehiro Aki) |
| Class Schedule |
This course systematicaly covers metabolomics̶the comprehensive analysis of metabolites within living organisms̶from its foundational technologies to applications in life sciences and industry. As a technology for comprehensively capturing metabolic states reflecting phenotypes, metabolomics is utilized across diverse fields including basic biology, medicine, drug discovery, food science, and environmental science. This course aims to provide an integrated understanding of analytical techniques, data analysis, and applied research to establish a foundation in metabolomics. The goal is for students to acquire the technical perspective and research design concepts necessary to advance metabolomics research. |
