Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course aims to equip students with the specialized techniques and international research literacy essential at the forefront of cancer research. The specific objectives are:
Mastery of Advanced Practical Techniques: Acquire the ability to execute experiments in cell biology, molecular biology, and genomic medicine with precision and reproducibility.
Logical Experimental Design: Develop the capacity to formulate hypotheses regarding cancer pathophysiology and therapeutic development, and construct logical experimental frameworks to test them.
International Standards of Data Management: Internalize rigorous laboratory notebook management and research ethics that meet global standards and are highly regarded by international research institutions.
Scientific Communication: Refine the ability to objectively analyze research data and present findings logically to the scientific community.
Through these goals, students will comprehensively learn the practical foundations of cancer research. By conducting individual research projects, students will experience the entire process from analyzing cancer pathology to designing advanced therapeutic strategies.

Suggestions on
Preparation and
Review
Comprehensive Protocol Review: Beyond just checking the steps, understand the scientific rationale behind each procedure scheduled for the following day.
Pre-experimental Simulation: Mentally walk through the equipment, reagents, and timeline to prepare for the experiment.
Clarity of Purpose: Clearly verbalize the objective—what exactly you intend to clarify—in your notebook beforehand, and design the sample layout accordingly.
Requirements None
Grading Method Grading will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of the student’s research attitude, the quality of their learning and research activities, and the content of their presentations.
