The goal of this seminar is to acquire the "scientific reasoning" and "practical laboratory skills" essential at the forefront of cancer research from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The Journal Club will not merely summarize content but will focus on the following three pillars: Critical Reading: Students will not take the authors' claims at face value. Instead, they will rigorously debate whether the validity of the experimental design and statistical analysis align with international standards. This process develops the insight to correctly discern the strengths and limitations of published research. Logical Presentation: Through the Journal Club, students will refine their ability to systematically reorganize and communicate complex scientific data to an audience. Furthermore, engaging in active Q&A sessions will enhance their capacity for spontaneous and logical argumentation. Knowledge Sharing and Practical Integration: By sharing the latest findings within the group, students will learn to provide feedback from these insights to their own laboratory practices. Integrating theory (literature) and practice (experimentation) strengthens the fundamental skills required of a self-reliant researcher. |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
The research paper for the Journal Club will be sent by the presenter and distributed to all participants two to three days before the session. It is highly recommended that participants read the paper in advance. On the day of the seminar, all participants must bring a laptop with the paper downloaded. |
