This course aims to help students systematically learn kanji and vocabulary, build networks of kanji and lexical knowledge, develop the ability to infer meanings, and acquire more natural Japanese expressive ability through the study of figurative expressions, idioms, and onomatopoeic and mimetic words.

Students are expected to complete the preparation worksheet distributed before class and the review worksheet distributed after class. 
Requirements Students who are placed into Level 5 based on the placement test and not a native speaker of Japanese.
Students who are level 4 or below cannot participate in this class.
