Class Status within Educational Program (Applicable only to targeted subjects for undergraduate students) | This course has two objectives. The first is to learn the fundamentals of grammar, vocabulary, and Japanese writing, and to become accustomed to communicating in Japanese. The second is to develop oral proficiency in Japanese equivalent to CEFR Level A1.1 (Beginner) or JLPT Level N5. Students will learn 130 kanji characters and study a variety of grammatical structures and sentence patterns to enable them to participate in oral and written communication activities on a range of topics. |

Students are graded applying the following formula. ・Class participation --- 20% ・Grammar Practice Sheet and Writing Practice Sheet --- 50% ・Oral exam(oral presentation)---10% ・Written exam --- 20% *The formula is subject to slight change. |
