Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Students are grouped into small groups and assigned to an instructor. Each student conducts a research and participates in experiments, practical trainings, discussions, reading materials and presentations in the field on informatics and data science in the group under the instructor.
As a part of orientation function of university education that based on voluntary learning, it is aimed to increase the motivation to intellectual activities at early stage after enrollment, and to develop logical and critical thinking skills and appropriate self- expression ability. In addition, as the start of learning in university, it is aimed to promote communication between students and instructors as well as among students to develop learning networks.
As a characteristic trial in School of Informatics and Data Science, we have the seminars by outstanding experts in industry and academia, and provide excellent opportunity to students to overview the recent research trends and topics in a variety of fields. Through the seminars the students will be motivated to learn the basic courses in informatics and data science. |
