Class Objectives
/Class Outline
On the basis of the first and second laws of thermodynamics, which are learned already in the class, “Physical chemistry I”, the following terms are focused on in this class.
1. Able to understand the basic terms and concepts associated with phase equilibrium of pure and mixed substances and explain them.
2. Able to derive basic formulae on phase equilibrium of pure and mixed substances and explain them
3. Able to calculate thermodynamic properties using basic formulae on the phase equilibrium.
4. Able to explain various types of the phase equilibrium and understand them fully.
5. Able to explain chemical equilibrium, equilibria response under various conditions, and electrode reactions with electrochemical potential.

Message "Office hours" are scheduled for Thursdays (16:00-18:00); please make active use of them. Questions will also be accepted outside these times.
This subject is a specialised course intended for Category III students; however, for students assigned to Applied Chemistry Programme, it corresponds to the learning and educational objective ‘(Ka) Solid Foundations’.
Other As a general rule, students are not permitted to miss midterm or final exams for reasons such as club activities, tournaments, or away games. If you absolutely must, please contact me.
Please fill in the class improvement questionnaire which is carried out on all classes.
Instructors will reflect on your feedback and utilize the information for improving their teaching.
